Children in action

Children in Action is WMU's organization for boys and girls in grades K–5 that helps them learn:

  • A Biblical worldview with an emphasis on missions learning and missional living.
  • Develop leadership skills to serve God and share His love with others.
  • Grow spiritually in their understanding of God and His mission, including how they are a part of God’s plan.

You can learn more about Children in Action here.

Mrs. Connie Chandler and Mrs. Deb Lewellyn lead the Children in Action group at First Baptist every Sunday night from 6-7PM on the third floor of the church. We want to invite you to learn about Christ, the work missionaries do, play games from different countries, and eat food from other countries.

In order for your child to participate in the short field trips around town it is important that you fill out the following forms:

Please see Mrs. Deb Lewellyen if you need a printed form.

We will be talking more about Lottie Moon and her life as a missionary in China. Southern Baptist churches help foreign missionaries around the world. We take up a special offering at Christmas time for them and it is named after Lottie Moon. We will be sharing games and work on angels. We will have refreshments. We hope to see all of our children there.

We will be taking the bus to Family Dollar Store from 6-7pm to shop for Operation Christmas Child. Please have your parents fill out the permission slip and insurance form so you will be able to go. Younger children will need to have parents take them because of booster seats.
